This reminds me of an old flash game called Tontie. That was my favorite flash game, until flash is no longer supported. But the monochrome visual makes it harder to identify different kinds of monsters. And the lack of grid display also makes it harder to determine the corresponding key.
I have some exciting news to announce! On May 6th, I'll be setting up a booth at DIY Game Only (a local indie game event in Taiwan) where players can try out the prototype of the game. If you happen to be in the area, feel free to stop by and play!
This is a pretty interesting gameplay loop; a bit difficult, but I don't mind. (Whenever that happens, I just play the first few levels over and over until I get good. :)
I see others saying the same thing: I love the diversity of the enemies! It makes the game very engaging. Something to fix the difficulty would be adding a difficulty selector on the first screen. This was a really fun NOKIA entry!
Thank you! I think you are right. Finger familiarity with the numpad is the key to beat the game. After hundreds of tests, my fingers can now automatically make reflex movements based on monsters positioning ;-) You can do it, go go go!
(Copied from thread) This is a ton of fun, I was blown away by how well you utilize the limited screen space and the gameplay is surprisingly really snappy and responsive. Sound design was killer. The "cat vs monster" sprites are a bit garish but I think that's probably what you're going for.
Overall: if I had a Nokia phone, I would absolutely want this game on it.

Thank you :)
Really enjoyed the game, very unique mechanics but it works well.
Thank you!
An interesting idea, I've never seen such a game before.
The effect on the drop-down blocks with numbers is not entirely clear.
Thank you!
I like the cats good game bro!
Thank you!
Fun one! Quite challenging to not watch the numpad. Couldn't make it but I'll try again for sure! I like the diversity of enemies, that's cool! :)

You can do it, go go go!
It's enjoyable and very challenging!
Especially the boss fight! such an exciting moment.
I've tried many times and this is the best I could get.
Love it!
Wow!
You actually played to the end!
The feedback I've collected so far indicates that the game is a bit difficult, and I plan to rework it to an easier version over the weekend.
Also, if you hit less cats, you can get S rank or even SS rank.
Wooow! You have a lot of gems. This game is a little hard for me. I tried many times and just got 9 gems. You are really good at it.
Loving this game, It really feels like it would have been a great choice of a game for a Nokia1100
Thank you!
also the use of the fake keypad was genius, I've never seen that before. I felt like I was playing DDR with my fingers lol
Thank you, actually this is not my idea, some early web flash games use this concept.
